Spit TRH-Clip 011430 — M6/M8 Threaded Rod Hanger Clip For Direct Fastening To Steel & Concrete

The Spit TRH-Clip 011430 is a compact threaded rod hanger designed for fast suspension of M6 and M8 rod, chains or cables directly from steel and concrete using Spit HC6 or C6 pins. Manufactured from 1.5mm thick E24 steel with an electroplated coating (7–15µm), it provides a robust, corrosion-protected fixing point for light building services and containment.

Fast Direct Fixing With Spit P800E

Instead of drilling and plugging, the TRH-Clip is shot directly to the base material using a Spit P800E tool and the appropriate pin, dramatically cutting installation time on soffits, beams and precast units. Recommended pins include HC6-15 for steel, HC6-15/17/22 for high-strength concrete up to C50/60 and prestressed concrete, and C6-20/25 for concrete up to C30/37.

Rated For Static Loads And Short Drops

The hanger is intended for static applications only and a maximum rod length of 600mm, making it ideal for low-level containment and small services where vibration and movement are limited. When fixed with an HC6-15 pin into suitable steel, the TRH-Clip offers a characteristic resistance of 5.0kN with a recommended working load of 1.5kN; typical recommended loads in concrete using the HC6 range are 0.10kN per fixing (minimum five fixings per supported component).

Fire Tested For Added Assurance

For fire-engineered projects, the TRH-Clip has been fire tested in combination with the HC6-17 pin in C20/25 concrete at 15mm embedment (CSTB test report 05-158/A). Characteristic tensile resistance under fire exposure is up to 0.25kN at 30 minutes, 0.13kN at 60 minutes and 0.02kN at 90 minutes, providing engineers with data to support designs in protected escape routes and similar applications.

Compact Geometry For Tight Soffits

With an overall height of approximately 27mm and base length of 29.5mm, the TRH-Clip is easy to position between other services. The integrated threaded hole accepts both M6 and M8 rod, reducing the number of clip variants you need to carry to site and keeping stockholding simple.

Typical applications include suspending short drops of threaded rod for light cable tray, basket, trunking, luminaires, signage, sensors and small mechanical services from steel beams, concrete soffits and precast units.
