Spit HC6-27 FH 057558 — 27mm Flush Head Gas Pins For Pulsa Fixing Into Hard Concrete & Steel
Spit HC6-27 FH 057558 pins are 27mm flush head, collated gas nails for fast, reliable direct fixing into hard concrete, prestressed concrete and structural steel with Spit Pulsa nailers. A 3mm hardened carbon steel shank, 6.4mm head and mechanical zinc coating (≥10µm) provide consistent penetration and internal corrosion protection on demanding M&E and drywall installs. Supplied 500 pins per box complete with 1 matching gas fuel cell, they’re ready to load and fire straight out of the box.
27mm Pins For Stronger Embedment In Concrete & Steel
The 27mm shank length gives a useful increase in embedment over 15–22mm pins, making HC6-27 FH a solid choice where you need more bite into the base material for higher pull-out resistance – for example heavier drywall track, trunking brackets and containment fixings on slabs, cores and beams. In non-cracked concrete at 18mm embedment, HC6 pins deliver characteristic tensile resistance up to 1.19kN with recommended tensile working loads around 0.40kN and shear up to 0.25kN per fixing when spacing and edge distances are respected. In steel, characteristic tensile resistance reaches up to 3.74kN with recommended tensile loads up to 1.49kN and shear 1.20kN depending on embedment.
Flush Head Finish For A Neat, Snag-Free Result
These FH pins use a premium collation that fragments on impact so no plastic remains trapped under the head. The 6.4mm full flat head then sits flush with the fixed component, reducing the risk of snagging on boards, cable tray, pipework or other services and giving a cleaner finish in risers, voids and behind plasterboard. That makes HC6-27 FH ideal where other trades will be working close to the fixings or where finishes need to be as smooth as possible.
Fast Pulsa Installation With Gas Cell Included
HC6-27 FH pins are supplied on 10-pin plastic strips suitable for 20 or 50 pin magazines, with 500 pins and one fuel cell per box to match the nail capacity. They are approved for use with Spit Pulsa 27E, 40E, 40P, 40P+, 65 and 800E/800P tools, allowing rapid fixing in floor, wall or overhead positions without drilling and plugging, and significantly speeding up first-fix work on concrete and steel.
Tested Performance & Fire Data For Design Confidence
HC6 pins are designed for hard concrete C20/25 to C50/60, prefabricated and prestressed concrete, and structural steels such as S235–S355. The range carries CSTB Technical Approval 3.1/22-1062 and ETA 22/0439 (for use with specified Pulsa tools), giving third-party verification of performance in concrete and steel. For fire-engineered projects, HC6-27 pins in non-cracked concrete at 18mm embedment achieve characteristic tensile fire resistances of 0.13kN (30 minutes), 0.10kN (60 minutes), 0.075kN (90 minutes) and 0.06kN (120 minutes), as detailed in fire test report GS 6.1/22-002-1.
Typical applications include fixing drywall and deflection head track, cable clips and saddles, light brackets, trunking and containment directly to concrete soffits, walls and structural steel on commercial, residential and industrial projects.
